The release also comes on a double-disc digipak with a full-length, 14-song, 20-track soundtrack CD featuring original film music by artist/musicians Carlos Alomar, Mark Isham, Ray Parker Jr., Gary Sheehan, Shep Solomon, and others. Also included is a DVD version of the film and a two-disc Blu-ray version that includes the double-disc soundtrack plus a disc of bonus original film music.
A special edition soundtrack will also be released on vinyl, with gold-colored artwork, and on CD. Like the double-disc digipak, it features original film music by the same artists as the 2-CD deluxe and 4-CD deluxe versions. It also includes a bonus DVD version of the film.
The movie soundtrack includes the original songs from the film, as well as nine remakes, one original song and three covers. Teen Beach 2 stars Ross Lynch, Maia Mitchell, Lauren Tom, Keke Palmer, Monet Mazur, Efrain Figueroa, Tyler Posey and Peyton List. The soundtrack was produced by John DeStefano, who also produced the original soundtrack for the movie. In addition, DeStefano produced the original soundtrack for the Disney Channel series, Descendants 2.
Teen Beach 2 was a top-grossing non-sequel Disney Channel movie, earning $12 million on its premiere weekend, and more than $70 million since. It was released on DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital HD on January 13, 2016. The soundtrack was released by Walt Disney Records on January 6, 2016. The movie is in the process of getting a sequel.
