Speed Thief transports you into the dark world of the professional car thief. You steal to order and must deliver the goods to the harbor under cover of night. Be warned...the cops are on your tail and will stop at nothing to catch you! This is a thrilling game, combining the classic car chase with night time traffic. Its brilliant lighting effects and state of the art physics make this a truly unique driving experience!
In Thief Simulator, the developers approached the problem of time flow in a rather simple but comfortable way, which means that every minute in the game corresponds to 1 second in reality. This means that every day in the game lasts 24 minutes. It's also a bit problematic - some hacking is better done at certain hours when there are no residents', so you have to wait for the right hour. However, you can quickly change the time instead of a long wait.
Menus, HUD, all visuals look GOOD. Fun game too! Spamming kick seems to be more reliable than hacking but doesn't give you that satisfying speed boost ahaha very enjoyable game that looks and sounds incredible!
It seems a little weird that I couldn't seem to leave enemies behind when I'd hacked their speed. I was kinda expecting slow enemies to drop off the bottom, speeding up the screen's scrolling for a bit and new enemies spawning from above.
The Speed Potion is a velocity boosting drink, that gives Garrett a momentary burst of speed. He will be able to run faster and jump further for a very short period of time. If Garrett has been discovered, and the Gas Arrow or Flash Bomb won't do the job (or there are not any in the inventory), the player will need to rely on running for escape. Drinking a speed potion can give one the edge over his pursuers, especially if they are fast like the Haunts. The potion will wear off in just a few moments after it has been drunk, so the user must find a hiding place very quickly. Another use for the potion's properties is the ability to jump further due to the increased running speed (the increase in long-distance jumping ability is enough to reach the windowsill of the Lost City tower from the hole near the start of the mission). This is good for climbing stacked crates, but there are few places in the missions requiring a long jump. Apart from those applications, the Speed Potion is not extremely useful like the Healing Potion or Water Arrow are. One should consider carefully if spending money on speed potions in the shop is a necessity, especially in T1/TG.
So you could plausibly claim that a centaur Thief with Second-Story Work pays three extra feet of movement for each foot of climbing, rather than four. That gives them a climbing move of ten feet, better than a normal centaur, but worse than a biped non-Thief. That seems like a plausible outcome within the game world.
Consider specific versus general, and look at it as an order of operations thing. If the Thief is more specific, then the centaur increases it from 1 to 4, and then the thief nulls it. If the centaur is more specific, then the thief nulls it, and the centaur... well, the centaur's feature says \"instead of\", and by the time you get there, there is no \"1 extra foot\" for the \"4 extra feet\" to replace. As such, it falls off again, and you wind up with the same answer.
That having been said, there are two things to consider. The first is that this is a somewhat implausible type to begin with. Centaurs don't get any dex bonus (which the thief needs), they do get a str bonus (which the thief can't really use), and they have nothing in particular that makes them all that good at being rogues (carrying capacity). Those few centaurs that do want to be rogues would probably want to be Scouts, rather than thieves. The only way one of these is showing up in campaign is if the DM puts it there deliberately as an NPC or a player decides to do it because they want to be wacky.
As such, this is not a \"limits of optimization\" question. A centaur thief-rogue is already significantly nonoptimal. This is a \"how silly do you want your gameworld to be\" question. If your wacky, wacky player wants to run a centaur who can climb walls faster even than other thieves, do you want that in your gameworld There's a sliding scale of serious vs silly-but-awesome and the real answer to the question (in the cases where it'll actually be asked) should be based more on that than on a legalistic reading of two rules that pretty clearly weren't intended to meaningfully interact.

kinda looks like a GONE IN SIXTY SEc. thing..... like soulreavoor said it does look like a GTA2 thing but better.... i cant waiting for GTA3 to come out on PS2 that game looks realy sweet first person GTA. IS this game worth a download
This was fun for an hour... The cars ALL have the same speed/accel, although handling is diff. Ridicoulous that a 2 cyl euro mini does 160mph. The camera views are useless other than 1st and 3rd views. (camera change takes 2-3secs, at 160mph, yer dead by the time it switches) AI on the chasing police cars was sad and predictable. Strictly an arcade game thats boring after the first few runs.Got a fast download connection DL this and have fun for a few minutes, but don't waste any money on the full version.
With all the tricks that gain you extra speed, in order to make the best use of it you should be hopping to avoid losing it to ground friction any earlier than necessary. Practice jumping right after getting the boost. Drinking a slow-fall potion as soon as you're in the air might also give a net time save because you keep your higher velocity for longer when you touch the ground less even if you have to endure a short period of slow running.
Also, when you're underwater you can drink one to suddenly increase your effective buoyancy by a lot. The deeper down you were the more speed you'll be able to accumulate by the time you hit the surface. You might be able to reach a ledge that you otherwise couldn't this way.
The way timed speed potions work:- Activate effect: 'DrkInv.AddSpeedControl(\"Speedy\", 1.75,1.25);' (Effects do not stack)- Create a timer named 'PreEndPotion' after a duration of 7.6 seconds- When 'PreEndPotion' triggers, play deactivation sound (optional) and create a new timer 'EndPotion' with a duration of 1 second- When 'EndPotion' triggers, the effect is removed: 'DrkInv.RemoveSpeedControl(\"Speedy\");'
So, the infinite potion glitch happens when after a save/load sequence, the speed potion you activate receives the same handle ID as was used before the save by the FlickerTrigger object, and soon after load, this FlickerTrigger object removes the speed potion timer.
Aside from the starting area, the ISP can be activated in four other areas where TrigFlicker objects are used, but it is presumed that the starting area will be the ideal location for performing the ISP for any and all speedruns.
Another method of activating the ISP bug involves finding a door which closes on its own after a certain period of time, such as Cavador's double doors in Kidnap and the elevator doors in Life of the Party. It is suspected that such doors use a similar timer to the TrigFlicker object. Find such a door, and open it all the way. Close the door manually, then quickly save/load, and drink a speed potion before preventing the door from closing fully with your body or some other object. Then open the door again, and you should have ISP. This effect is currently poorly understood, inconsistent, and awaiting further testing, although it has been confirmed to work on Precious Cargo and Casing the Joint on the New Dark engine.
Play Speed Thief online! Make your way out of the hostile streets of Swift City, where opposing bands of bikers with technologic motorcycles can hack each other and steal the speed of their motorcyles.
\"Joker & the Thief\" is a song by Australian rock band Wolfmother. The song serves as the sixth track and sixth single from the band's eponymous debut studio album. It was released in Australia on 28 October 2006 and in the United Kingdom on 20 November 2006.[1] The music video for the song was nominated for the \"Best Rock Video\" and \"Video of the Year\" awards at the 2007 MTV Australia Awards.[2] The titular \"joker\" and \"thief\" are a reference to the lyrics of \"All Along the Watchtower\".[3]
\"Joker & the Thief\" has been featured in several films, video games and TV shows including The Blacklist, The Hangover, Shoot 'Em Up, NHL 14, Rock Revolution,[5] Jackass Number Two, Impractical Jokers: The Movie, Karaoke Revolution Presents American Idol Encore 2, Here Comes the Boom, MLB 07: The Show, Need for Speed: Carbon,[6] Shrek the Third, Lego DC Super-Villains, Preacher and The Man from Toronto. It is also available as downloadable content for the music video game series Rock Band.
