keith##I wish the above was true! ##Forget the Zoli's. There are only 5 of these listed as made by AntonioZoli with serial numbers in the range 512651-512660 (a short list - about100 sold) and there is no data on the value of these guns. Zoli's withserial numbers in the range 512661-512677 (about 200 sold) were made byAngelo Zoli and are all in the $1500-1800 price range.
Here is a note about Antonio Zoli. He was a very good Master gunmaker andbuilt the very best, smoothest and most reliable of all Italian custom/under $2000 shotguns. Zoli's were not made for a long time and once he wentout of business in Italy, Antonio Zoli, Inc. was replaced by a companyowned by the Bank of Brescia.
The Zoli's are in the price range of the xt700s and the Zoli's were very interesting and for only a few hundred dollars more they wereincredibly reliable, smooth, smooth shooting and rugged. Zoli's are alsomuch more coveted than the xt700s.Alain
What a wonderful gun. I could not find any very recent Zoli's on the web so Iguess they are quite rare. Some of the Zoli's I have seen advertised in thegun world also have maple stocks with various engraving. I have an NIB Zoliexample on a walnut stock. These are great guns!Ken
Re: Zoli/Angelo Zoli shotguns - Hi,I have a 280 model I purchased in the early 1990's. It is marked:Zoli/Antonio. I believe it is the same gun as the 280's with the Zoligrip and the Zoli model 281. I have not shot the gun yet, but I amdiligently making sure I maintain it and it has never had anyproblems. It is in perfect condition and is very nice. I bought it at a gunshop and had it appraised for me. If you are interested in buying it,just call me.
